Arielle + Jonathan – Wedding at the Shaar Hashomayim

I always feel immensely lucky when I get the chance to photograph different events for the same family. I feel appreciation and trust which play a huge part for me when it comes to being creative.

I had photographed Arielle’s sister Laura’s wedding in 2017. Working with their family was such an amazing and fulfilling experience that I was thrilled when Arielle contacted me to photograph her wedding.

Arielle and Jon got married in June 2019 on a perfect summer day. A few days before their wedding I documented their beautiful Henna ceremony that was filled with so much joy and love from their friends and families and I could already picture how incredible it would be to document their big day!

From the very start of the day I had the opportunity to photograph so many emotional moments. Arielle looked absolutely stunning and could not wait to be married to the love of her life. Jonathan arrived at her father’s house and they had their first look surrounded by family and closest friends, which brought everyone to tears.

I love documenting Jewish ceremonies because they are so deep and filled with many significant elements. Theirs was especially heartwarming because the Rabbi shared very beautiful insights about Arielle and Jon’s personalities and highlighted how caring and generous they both were. It gave a beautiful personal touch to the event.

Throughout the day and evening Arielle and Jon always seemed to find moments where they felt it was just the two of them even though they were surrounded by so many people, which made the love and connection between them even clearer. They enjoyed every minute of this celebration, being so thankful to everyone who was there and dancing their lives away at the reception.  What a party!

I am thankful that they will have these memories to look back on and relive this incredible day. Thank you Arielle and Jon for trusting me for such an important task!
